Last Weeks Program

Lisa Taylor, Mgr. Rose House. (House people, Inc.) This program concerned providing technical assistance, quality driven programs, and advocacy in mental health throughout N.Y. State. This was a most informative program. Handouts were distributed describing the workings of People, Inc.

 

Ben Birillo’s Hat – At the meeting, Pres. Jerry said that he was a few dollars short of the $500.00 in increments he has been contributing through the Club to the families of local GI’s killed in Iraq. With that, off came Ben’s hat, which circulated through the meeting. When it returned, it was filled to the brim, more than rounding out the amount needed to make up the $500. Good work, Ben & Jerry! This is a great program! (Our profound sympathy goes out to the family who will receive this donation.)


Boat Trip -Speaking of Cap’n Gus, the latest word is that the Newburgh Club will be joining us on the trip.  That’s Sunday, August 27th!”. Mark your calendar.

 

Phil Brillante’s weekly safety tip!

John Hopkins’: Reports that there are large numbers of accidents from the use of lawn mowers & power gardening tools. Use caution with this equipment. Wear safety clothing, including goggles! Safely enjoy the summer!

 

Holy Innocents Thrift Shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)
