Rotary Last Week,
August 11th - This was a business meeting. Info from the August 8
Presidents meeting was discussed, including Rotary Intnl President Stenhammer’s
message to all clubs to focus on partnering with other organizations in our
community & around the world in water & literacy projects. This is high on his agenda. District wise,
the ‘Raise the Roof’ project receives high preference. Also, Two Rotary
Foundation GSE teams will join us this year, one from
Phil Brillante – Phil’s safety theme this week was “See and be Seen!” He exhibited nighttime reflective safety tape which when properly placed on a vehicle can be seen from several directions by other drivers & pedestrians. He also showed a LED flashlight, which surpasses a regular D cell .
Don Sagaria requested the Club’s support for the “Walk of Fame committee, whose mission is to develop a series of plaques commemorating a series of significant events or persons,
to be mounted on poles along

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.
Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)
August 28th 6 pm – Gus Fishburne’s boat trip still lies on the horizon. Spread the word to other clubs! The fee is $20.00 per.
