Rotary Last Week, October 5, 2006

Dave Pagano of “Balanced Health Now” gave us all a good look at the ingredients for providing a balanced health style in the things we use, both internally & externally, with products distributed by AmeriSciences. Included in Dave’s handouts were a calorie intake listing, both male & female, and the various foodstuffs, indicating recommended calorie intake, plus the serving sizes to be consumed. Great program! (Even greater for those folks watching their weight, diet, etc.)

Phil Brillante – Phil gave his safety tip for the week by advising all to wear proper shoes as the icy conditions make for treacherous walking. Steve Scott also commented on ice, but not the frozen stuff!. He advised all to program their cell phones with the ICE format for notifying emergency services (in the event of an emergency!)

Letter Of Thanks – Orange County Safe Homes Director Michelle McKeon sent a letter of thanks to the Club for its participation in the Christmas Program. (We made a family very happy!)

Theatre Party: “Thoroughly Modern Millie” in May, 2006. (More will be forthcoming on this enjoyable fund-raiser, very soon.)

The Holy Innocents Church thrift shop     will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm. 

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)
