Dave Monroe introduced Debbie DeAgostine, President of the Newburgh Kiwanis Club, which operates from the Apple Green Golf Course. She described her club’s fundraisers,
the main one being ‘Rose Day’. How do they raise funds? By selling roses! Last year they sold 1077. She equated this to our fruit selling fundraiser. Their club donated $8k last year toward scholarships. They also have a spin off ‘Tee club’ from Kiwanis. They also ordered 950 dictionaries for 3rd graders from Barnes &Noble. Great! (She suggested a joint venture with our club.)
