Last Weeks Program
This was a business meeting, during which much was discussed. With the upcoming changes in the administration. Jim Witt’s weather calendar is high on the District’s agenda, and we’ll be joining together to raise funds for the club.
Boat Ride – Sunday August 27, 2006. Gus ‘Skipper’ Fishburne disclosed that the annual boat ride will occur on this date. Everyone should get his or her “sea legs” in order.
Installation! – Wednesday, June 28 will be our annual
Installation of club officers. This will occur in the Hudson Gallery of the
Thayer Hotel. The cost is $12.50 per person. There will be a fresh Crudite & Cheese display, fresh vegetables and dip,
fresh fruit & assorted crackers. Beverages will consist of
Phil Brillante’s weekly safety tip was lights on vehicles. Steve Scott expounded on lights on emergency vehicles. All caution should be observed when the lights and sounds (sirens, horns, etc.) are heard. While emergency vehicles are bound by the vehicle & traffic law, they have the right of way when responding to an emergency. Remember, Safety comes First!
John McLellan, is doing an excellent job in preparing a list of guest speakers for the coming Rotary year. Anyone who has someone of interest to speak, please see John. His list grows!
Walk of Fame – Still walking.. It is still undetermined where our sign will be placed.
Holy Innocents Thrift Shop. will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.
The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.
Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)
