Rotary Last Week

Guest speaker Tony Brown of the Directorate of Community Activities gave an excellent presentation on the happenings at West Point, such as the streamlined budget; the youth center restoration, and a breakdown on NAF business rules. (Non-appropriated funds) He distributed literature on scheduled tours to New York City happenings, such as museums, etc. during June & July. (The photo on the DCFA handbook should win a prize. Gus Fishburne and his wife deserve kudos for having such a good looking daughter, son in law, and grandkids)

District Assembly meeting is scheduled for May 8^th,from 8a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Best Western Motel in Poughkeepsie. Roy Spells & incoming officers will attend.

Installation Dinner - The installation dinner for the upcoming officers will be held on possibly the 9^th or 10^th of June. (To be announced.)

New Windsor Cornwall Club “fundraiser”,

Saturday, May 16, 2-5 p.m. $300 Club. Final drawing March 24 at Vassar, wine/cheese reception.

May 15^th – Rotary Cleanup Day – The annual cleanup will kick off at the Town Of Highlands Ambulance Corps building at 9 a.m.

May 8^th. Special Olympics – Volunteers gladly accepted.

Youth Exchange Letter – Either send someone to other country or post someone. $500.00 for outbound and $1500.00 for inbound students.

Poughkeepsie Club – A group study going to Brazil in May for 3 weeks. If you’re between 25-40 years of age and interested, shout!
