Last Weeks Program

Kathy Wenner, of the Honduras Water Project spoke, during which she described their providing food, water, etc. to third world countries. She said the people there face many hardships, such as a lack of safe drinking water, mud slides, cooking over open fires, and using outhouses for bodily necessities. (When available.) The soil consists of rocks & hard clay. Her organization relies on collaboration with Rotary Clubs for assistance. (This was an Eye opening program!) Great slide show.

 

Phil Brillante’s Weekly Safety Message:

Phil emphasized the need for safety in home driveways, citing many avoidable accidents and tragedies by taking proper precautions,

such as “squaring off” the driveway where possible and using reflective tape to mark blind areas, especially where children play.

 

Steve Scott: Needs a RYLA Chairman! Any volunteers?

Theatre Party: It’s now history- but was a great, successful event. A round of applause is due for Harold Spaeth & Jerry Sheehan for putting together this wonderful event, which was enjoyed by all. Lots of winners in the raffles!!

 

The Holy Innocents Church thrift shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)

 

Rev. Judy Ferguson also announced an upcoming concert series; plays, Musicals, etc. highlighting the Church’s stained glass windows. (More on this at today’s meeting.)

 

Jerry Sheehan’s Pushcart - Jerry says:

“The dinner theatre show has come & gone,

But my shoits & jackets will carry on!”
