In History
1922 – Entrance to King Tut’s tomb found.
British Archaeologist Howard Carter and his workers
discovered a step leading to the tomb of King Tutankhamen in the Valley of the
Kings in
Nov. 28, Carter and Archaeologist Lord Carnarvon discovered both Tut’s mummy, and magnificent treasures which had been buried for 3000 years.
Rotary Last Week –
October 28
The club met at the usual time, but it was held in Quarters 100, the residence of Gen. Lennox, Superintendent of the Academy, and his wife Anne, who is a member of the club.
Both Gen. Lennox and Anne acted as tour guides and led the
gathering through the mansion, describing both its artifacts and history. It
was a most pleasant, educational and rewarding
experience for all those in
attendance.
