Last Week’s Program

This was a business meeting which followed Wednesday eve’s Board meeting at the H.F Library. Items discussed were upcoming events, including the Christmas luncheon, which is scheduled for December 14th at the Thayer Hotel.  Also, the Salvation Army Bell Ringing will take place on Dec 16 –17. Volunteers needed. Also, a letter to the club re; the Children’s care fund auction.  The “Walk of Fame” plaque will be posted in the USAA property, date & time forthcoming. Also, Steve Scott’s bio will be presented in December. Dave Weyant discussed Jim Witt’s calendars as a fund-raiser again for next year. (This year was a sellout.)

Quick action by our own Roy Spells at the Rotary Dinner at the West Point Club last week probably saved a life. After a diner was stricken, Roy’s action as paramedic, first aid giver, policeman, and yes – you can call him Superman – saved the day. Congrat’s Roy!

Incidentally, Roy’s name is being touted for submission as upcoming District Governor!

 

Phil Brillante’s Safety Tip:

Phil was absent, but his message was clearly received by ESP. The message was: “Don’t overstuff yourself with Thanksgiving turkey” because it causes drowsiness, and may cause you to miss the action in the football games.

(A sagging head causes stiff neck!)

Holy Innocents Thrift Shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm. 

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month.

Sacred Heart food pantry & Thrift Shop. Open 10am – 2pm.

(Money will supplement food donations.)
