Rotary Last Week, August 25th

Club Secretary Steve Scott gave an excellent presentation on the District “Raise The Roof” Campaign being sponsored by the Warwick Valley Rotary Club. He showed slides depicting the hurricane damage to Princess Alice Hospital in East Grenada. (Let’s help, not by raising hell, but by Raising The Roof!)

Kind ‘a Sad News: Cecilia Solomon took a fall at home injuring her right arm & wrist. She’s doing well, despite her arm being temporarily immobile. (We’re all pullin’ for ya, Cecile!)

Phil Brillante’s News: – Again, Phil called our attention to the importance of home safety by stressing awareness! Know who to call for help; have an escape plan (Home, school, work); and have emergency supplies available. (First aid kit; flashlights & batteries, water, canned food, radio, matches & cash.) Thanks again, Phil!

Newsie News:

We will be hosting the Exchange Students from England at the Central Michigan game on Saturday, October 8^th.

Gus Fishburne’s boat trip on the 28^th proved to be a huge success. Despite the inclement weather (and a few damp backsides) all had a swell time! Terrific food & drink, and best of all, great company! (Here’s to next year’s!)
