Last Weeks Program - Business meeting

Highlights: Much business was conducted. This included Dave Weyant’s “Treasurers Report”, which showed the club in good shape financially! It was also agreed that $500.00 would be donated to the Town of Highlands’ July 4th celebration. – We will also be raising funds by selling Meteorologist Jim Witt’s Weather Calendar’s. Our cost: $2.50 per cal., Sell for $7.00, and net $4.50 per. cal. Initial purchase from Jim Witt will be for 250 Calendars. Note: The funds collected by Jim Witt are used exclusively to aid children!

 

Phil Brillante’s poignant safety message translated into rhyme, reads like this:

  “Carbon Monoxide is in the air,

    You can’t see it but it’s there!

    A fresh battery - a detector’s blare,

    Won’t let it catch you unaware!”

 

Theatre Party:   Time marches on and the theatre/dinner events approaches rapidly. Thoroughly Modern Millie” arrives on Sunday, May 7th 2006 in Eisenhower Hall”. All members are requested to lend a hand with this event. Get your reservations, checks and gifts to be donated in A.S.A.P.

 

The Holy Innocents Church thrift shop will be operating every Thurs. 10 am to 1 pm.

The Holy Innocents food pantry, 2nd & 4th Wednesday of month.

Sacred Heart Thrift Shop open 10am – 2pm; (4:30 Thursdays.)

 

Jerry Sheehan’s Pushcart - Jerry says:

“As we venture into the month of May,

    Let the price of a shoit roll my way!”

 

Other Clubs’ Activities

Rotary Club of Fishkill - The Fishkill Club’s 5th Annual Softball Tournament will be held on May 7th. at Robert Shepheard Memorial Park in Fishkill. All proceeds go to “Operation Smile”.
