      Notable Historic November 13ths

      1850 – Robert Louis Stevenson, author of

     Treasure Island and Dr. Jekyll and Mr.

     Hyde, is born in Scotland.  He studied civil

      engineering & law, but decided to pursue

      a career as a writer.  This alienated his

      parent’s who expected him to follow the

      family  trade of lighthouse keeping. His

      family wasn’t reconciled for years.

      The message here was: Time has run out for

      the fruit sale. Any stragglers should see Bill

      Stone A.S.A.P. with checks.

      Biency Rosa –Again announced that a job

      fair will be held in the Highland Falls

      firehouse on  Saturday, Nov. 15th, sponsored

      by the Hudson Valley Women’s Assn. She

      passed out literature on this.

      See Gerry Sheehan for finalization of

      jacket, shirt orders. 

     Steve Scott – Will attend the Rotary

      Leadership session on November 22nd.

      Looking Ahead - Dinner Theatre – April

      27th 2004 – “The Sound of Music”.

    

                    Visiting Rotarians

     Gene Boleslovski from the West Palm

     Beach, Fla, club. He donated $100.00 to

     Our Christmas Project.
